Jamal Adams traded to Seattle

When you undermine the head coach, you should probably start packing your bags. He said that he wanted a new deal but did he really have leverage? He is talented but I feel bad for his new team, good thing Pete Carrol is an established coach. I would not want him on my team.

As much as I hate Seattle... They are easily catapulted up in power rankings just by this addition!

I guess he had enough leverage to get himself traded when he didn’t get his way.

Jets here... unfortunately... but glad he’s gone. Our best player but not worth the highest contract for a DB. He only got 2 interceptions his whole career in NY. They can use the picks they got back very well. Got a starting safety in return. Good trade

I’m no Jets fan but think they made out ok on paper. But if those first round picks are late first round because Seattle has great years, and the Jets can’t find a superstar with either pick (or package them to move up to find a star), hindsight may prove otherwise in a couple of years. Just like it might for the Dolphins trading away their young talent for draft picks that may or may not work out. In any event, if they had no intent on signing him to a long term deal, this is about as good of a trade as they were likely to find and the more time that passed, the worse the situation would become without a trade.

What I don’t like to see are players under contract forcing trades through disruptive behavior. But seems to be the trend.

Hawks fan here. I’m VERY happy to get Adams. He has 2 years left on his rookie deal, which I believe the Hawks will use to full advantage. He’s arguably the best safety in the league.
Now, what the Hawks paid to get him... ouch! Kahlil Mack was cheaper...

Jets won this trade by a long shot and thank god the Cowboys didnt give all that up for him.

1 safety, even what some consider to be the best in the league, isnt worth all that the hawks gave up + a record setting deal, especially when he isnt a turnover machine. We just let one of the top CBs in the league walk cause we werent going to pay him record setting money. why would we then turn around and give record setting money to adams?

Thank god the Joneses didnt get him.

Exactly....there's no way that I would have given up that much for him either. I'm glad The Cowboys passed on him.

AB is a prima dona that has serious mental issues, a team has got to have a strong head coach and group of veterans to keep him functioning well with the team. I think that most teams are dazzled by his abilities but a realistic about him fitting into their team. It's not that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, he brings the circus with him everywhere.
