First Day with the D3000

So first day with the new D3000, I have never used an SLR in my life, so it was on Auto, but I got lucky at the beach by my house. Any input you guys and gals may have is welcome.. good or bad.

Thanks

Looks good! Try shooting in P mode instead of Auto- it allows you to run basic settings that you can't use in Auto, like exposure compensation and Vivid color settings. Here's a good basic guide for that camera: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d30...uide/index.htm

good tip ! auto just uses too many features that in "some" situations are totally unnecessary. just read your manual that came with it....you are going to learn a LOT from it good luck.
