That is how much I got it for new when it first came out.
Mine was standard optics one.
Currently, you can get those for less now. FN is discontinuing it.

When Obama got elected, there were firearm buying crazy going on at that time. I sold mine (well used) for $3044.98. Sold it about $1000 more than I paid for new.
