Another plane crash (yeah, ANOTHER Airbus)

Yemeni jetliner (Airbus A-310) crashed into Indian Ocean. 150 aboard.

Don't fly any AirBus. Fly Boeing.

I highly doubt it. Usually when a plane meets the water bad things happen. The US Airways flight being an exception to that.

I fly a Boeing for a living. I think a great deal of Boeing up to and including the 777.

Yet I don't think twice about riding on an Airbus. Debates about engineering emphasis are valid and interesting, but have no bearing on the risks of an individual flight. The statistics support this view.

Bash Airbus? There is always that ugly 737 rudder issue. We learn by understanding, not by staking ground.

But what really matters is the victims. My God rest their souls.

Attached picture for reference....(maybe not the exact aircraft crashed)...

but people starting to say "another airbus"...and the media will amplify ALL Airbus incidents no matter how minor they are (even when the lavatory is clogged) and made an impression that airbus is not safe....please dun mix both accidents together....

each accident is unique and involves various factors....we hope we can find the cause soon and make flying safer....almost every accidents in the past contributes more or less to our day to day flying safer....especially in technology, procedures, CRM, etc etc....

Most of it is French, and we all know about the reliability of a French car.

I wouldn't be surprised (but also sad) that this aircraft was brought down due to maintenance defects....

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8125664.stm

Quote:
"The A310 in question was inspected in 2007 by the DGAC [French transport authorities] and they noticed a certain number of faults. Since then the plane had not returned to France," Transport Minister Dominique Bussereau was quoted as telling French TV.

the A310 was one of airbus' first jets correct? along with the A300.
