Wait, so the deplorables are against annual cost of living increase now?

LOL no wonder you need Trump to bring your jobs back.

No one is saying raises are a bad thing. What she is saying is that we need to pay Congress more money so that they wont trade on insider info or take money from lobbyists, which they will do regardless how much we pay them. AOC had been on the job 6 months and makes way more than the average American, while working 4 days a week but yeah she needs a raise.

It's laughable watching the progressive libtards follow this rancid mule mouth like the Pied Piper to their inevitable doom. PT Barnum said it best.

Talk about twisting her words. She's arguing for adjusting pay for cost of living increase / inflation for everyone. Arguably I'm from a weird country (Norway), but that's a given here. The alternative would be to actually get a practical decrease in salary every year by default.

Does that include bankers that make over 1million/year or just those SHE deems fit to get this universal raise? Please be specific as I wouldn't want to twist your words.

Well, apparently deplorables don't want cost of living annual raise. No wonder they have no money begging Trump to bring jobs back. Snowflakes.

If you're on a fixed salary, it makes sense to have it adjusted for inflation unless you get any other (even higher) raise. Otherwise your change in salary is negative.

I agree here but doubt AOC would as increasing fixed salaries for those earning seven figures doesn't correspond to her narrative.

Just need to add in a factor that also adjusts the (fair?) federal taxes said 7-figures pays

AOC - I want to take money (tax) away from Person A who is some combination of hard working/highly motivated/ highly educated/ highly skilled.

Then I give that money to Person B who is not some combination of hard working/highly motivated/ highly educated/highly skilled so that B votes for me. Then I will vote myself a raise or I'll go corrupt to get more than the measly $174,000 / yr that I'm paid.

And it's a complete aside that AOC is a box of rocks now better off financially than the vast bulk of US citizens.

No she's just saying that in order to justify her own race. Like look i want more money so that I dont become corrupt but I also want you peasants to have some more bread crumbs as well.

AOC drove Amazon out of her district because they dont pay a living wage. Yet right over on Staten Island their fulfillment center pays 18 to 25hr plus medical and benefits. Yeah shes all about the working class. Just like the commies back East, who drove around nice German cars while telling the rest of us to be happy with a Fiat 126p.

I worked with Russians who saw the fall of the USSR. They attribute it as much to corruption from within as the arms race Reagan initiated. Of course, the two factors feed on each other as spending money on weapons came out of the proletariat's well being, not the elite.
