Laptop Bags

What are you guys using? Traditional laptop bag or backpack?

I have a Tumi laptop bag that is great but it is one of the smaller ones and I am either going to get a larger version of the same bag or go another direction.

Any recommendations on other brands that you have experience with?

Big fan of Booq messenger bags. They have lots of other styles as well. Very well made.

It's often that I'll need to carry more than just my laptop, so my Tumi laptop bag was starting to kill my shoulder and I needed a backpack. I've been happy with this for the last couple of years: https://www.dsptch.com/products/ruckpack

I like the Timbuk2 messenger bags, I have a Commuter and a couple of their messenger bags. They also have an insert that will hold a camera body and a couple lenses.

+1, Booq is great.

Using a bag on one shoulder is causing some serious pain and distress on my shoulders and back, though. I can't bring myself to use a backpack at work yet because I already look like I'm in elementary school, but I use one whenever I travel for work, and it feels so much better.

I have three that are currently in use - leather, nylon and a backpack. It depends on where I'm going and what I'm doing. I believe they're all made by Targus.

I have a Tumi Arrive briefcase. Have had it for 3 years or so. No complaints. Held my 15in MBP, charger, hard drive, notebook, folder, pen(s), and occasionally a set of clothes.

Switched to a 13in MBP, so I can put the laptop and charger on the same side.

Only complaint is that it's a bit on the heavy side, but it has taken a knife and lived.

Most of the time I use a TravelPro laptop bag / briefcase. When I have a ton of stuff to take with me I use a Briggs & Riley wheeled briefcase that has a laptop compartment. I have always hated backpacks.

I've been using my Briggs & Riley Large Expandable Brief for over 10 years and it still looks brand new The linked one is the updated version, but I'm still rocking the old one. Build is A++, versatility is perfect, and I love the expanding rear section for clothes if have to travel for work.

My only real complaint is that there is no external waterbottle holder like the Booq Saddle Pro. So if I ever come across a Saddle Pro I can demo, I might switch.

I just use a Fossil messenger bag. Good quality, looks good, and was cheap. Added bonus: I feel like Indiana Jones.

I have the Zero 3 inch in dark gray and the 5 inch in traditional silver. I have a Tumi expandable brief case. Not a tumescent 3 inch or 5 inch.

I'm thinking either a Halliburton or Rimowa attaché in the grey.

Always wanted to feel like that guy from Ronin.

Anybody have experience with this one? I know TravelPro makes good luggage at a reasonable price but I dont have experience with their laptop bags. This one looks good and the price is right.

I got my first Zero over 20 years ago. It has over a million miles on it and has been my constant companion in travel. It's in the back of the i8 as I type this. I use the slimline case when I only carry the Mac Book Pro.
