Tesla Model 3 Interior, thoughts?

Elon Musk recently confirmed that the Model 3 interior will, in fact, look like this:

So what are your thoughts and why do you think this looks like complete shit?

That look pretty horrible. Looks like they're cutting costs to maximize profits.

He did promise the car would cost $35k.

You get what you pay for...although you'd think that at $35k, at least you'd get an interior and not just an iPad.

The CLA and 320i both start under $35K and have better interiors. They decided to skimp on the interior because of the fancy drivetrain and laptop batteries under the floor.

Funny, seating position and sight lines look great. The steering wheel leaves a little to be desired though. Lower center console looks bizarre, did they consult IKEA? Do I need to call it Cëntr Cönßôl?

Nothing to write home about, could be a lot worse. At least it's clean.

I'm hoping BMW makes a good electric car before I can afford a Model S. Wife wants the model 3 but I told her it's more value for the model S...now wait for the i5 and hope it's good.

That steering wheel looks different than the one in the first photo. Maybe that is a pre-production model, hopefully their aren't two different steering wheels and that is the base one!

Looks like a first generation self driving car. Like the steering wheel and display will be easily removable when the need for a driver has been eliminated.

If you have a great team of engineers and designers, you can get away with minimalism that doesn't look terrible.

It looks like they took a point of purchase display for a tablet or self check in kiosk and dropped it in the interior.

It looks like a fucking panda inside.

Not 100% yet, because there is one more reveal.

Musk did not clarify "heads-up-display" in front of drivers line of site.

Sweet !

That 3 spoke sport steering wheel is the one I'd want. Not the grandma version.

Looks better than what BMW offers.
