Just finished watching the race.

Red Bull was on extended testing - no threat at all from anyone on the grid.

W13/W14 concept needs to go - Mercedes might have fixed things, gained some performance...but so did everyone else, so they're back at square one just without the porpoising.

Aston Martin. Just wow. To make up that much performance from last year is nothing short but amazing.

Ferrari still doing Ferrari things.

Very early predictions:

1. Red Bull
2. Ferrari (only because LEC/SAI are a better 1-2, than ALO/STR)
3. Aston Martin
4. Mercedes (they are a distant fourth if we're being honest).

What a race! Max just coasting and beats Alo by 37 seconds and puts nearly a minute on the MB cars. I also don’t think they’re even close to what the car can do - Max could have pushed but hopefully we see another record breaking season for him. I enjoyed watching Alo and Str take on a best the MBs too. They look to have a good car and some very good driving by them also.

Let’s face it, Max will have 5 WDC when the 2026 regulations take over. The rules are set up that if a team gets off to a dominant start to the regulation change, it’s going to be extremely difficult for them to be overtaken. Max is heading into a Schumacher/Vettel/Hamilton run where he’s his only competition.

It was 22 Million ,that's far from cheap but It's the best investment you can get ...

22M just for an apartment wow but it is Monaco, certainly no residents worry about the cost of living with pots of money there.

I think he took it relatively easy after he put a considerable gap on Lec, and then even more so when Checo was securely in 2nd.

I certainly would not mind seeing him win every race this year and winning the WDC for 5 years on the bounce and then come into 2026 and win 3-4 more.
