Don't understand why the "M5" had all those aftermarket bits and regular 5-series mirrors?

Lol, here's my review:

I'm pretty sure the director, producer, and editor had their target audience pretty well zeroed in, 15 to 21 year olds with an 85-105 IQ, because this movie had absolutely nothing going for it for a remotely discriminating viewer. It was like a parade of scenes that had me thinking, "ok, that was gratuitous, that was horribly acted, that should have been re-shot another 20 times, that person forgot to act, that is flat out impossible and they didn't even bother to appeal to any sort of suspension of disbelief..." And on it went. People who pan Conan The Barbarian will re-evaluate it as an example of a brilliantly acted movie in light of Fast and Furious. The whole thing felt like it was at once trying to hard and half-assed.

In all fairness, I went in expecting it to be dumb but fun, and there certainly were fairly fun parts. It was just terribly paced, especially in the first half, and you never really understood characters motivations they all came off as 2 dimensional. I'm glad I caught a matinee instead of full price.

1/5 stars - catch it on TV at the hotel you'll be staying at 2 to 3 years and turn it off halfway through to get some sleep.

I'd rather see them wreck "knock offs" instead of the real things. Plus it's a cheaper car and that's probably why they do it.

On second thought, I have to agree. I think all this debadging/rebadging/etc talk on the forums has fried my brain a bit.

That wasn't a real M5, it was a 540i with M5 bumpers and lowering springs.

I saw it and it was weird I thought.

How come this was moved to 'off topic' from the 1 addicts site?

Nevermind, I can kind of understand.

Lol, it was only an M technic 540i, look at the gauges and you'll see what I mean. It didn't have M spec gauges, and I don't know if you guys noticed, but it had the sound of the M5 V10.

Haven't seen it yet. For those who have, is it worth seeing or waiting to release on DVD?
