Offsets for aftermarket wheels... will these fit?
Before i take the plunge on ordering a set, i want to verify that what i want will fit comfortably under my 540i with adaptive suspension and without any rubbing issues.
Im considering a set of wheels/tyres with the spec of wheel front: 20x9j / offset 35mm / centre bore 66.56mm tyre front: 255/35/20 wheel rear: 20x10j / offset 45mm / centre bore 66.56mm tyre rear: 285/30/20 will these sit nicely in the space without any issues, or would additional spacers be advised too? |

Thanks, guess my question is, if the inner wheels sits 17mm further into the wheel arch, is there risk of this fouling the suspension.
This isn’t answered on the link you provided, but it does give the other critical info I was after. So thanks for that. |

I believe the bore size for BMW (G30) is 66.6 mm. While 66.56 mm is close, it won't slip over a BMW hub. Unless you can enlarge the bore, you'll have a struggle on your hands. Judging by the bore size are these wheels intended for an Audi? If so, you'll have to buy new ball-socket style lug bolts with BMW-thread pitch.

Thanks for the info TEF.
The wheels i am considering are Ispiri: https://www.iwautomotive.com/iw-ffp2.html I'll make a formal enquiry when im closer to placing an order to confirm if these will indeed fit. If not, it will be back to the drawing board an maybe some OEM/OEM reps instead... |

Thanks PetieD
to confirm you're reffering to you Variant 20" Krypton in brushed aluminum wheels and these came witha centre bore 66.56 and went straight on? The ET on what im considering will push out a bit further than yours, would you say you have room? I cant tell from this image https://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/at...1&d=1635634396 |

The specs are as follows: Front: 20x9 ET 32 Rear: 20x10.5 ET 45 Center bore (hub) 66.56mm (Pls see attached photo for reference) Unfortunately, the Variant wheels required hub centric rings to make it work. |

When Tirerack sent new aftermarket 18" wheels with plastic hub centric adapters (measuring 66.5), they would not fit the hubs on my g30 drive sedan. If the hub centric rings were removed from the wheels, they would press fit onto the hubs. However, it was necessary for Tirerack to send me a second set of adapters and these these measured 66.7. While 66.6 mm is the size I have seen on the internet when looking up BMW wheel specs, i have always seen 66.6mm.
I am confused by the photo above and there is a mention of hub centric rings. Per the label in photo, it appears that the bore size is 66.5 mm, so where do the hub centric rings come into play? |

Just to ensure my sanity in this instance, I went to SizeMYWheels.com and found this link:
https://sizemywheels.com/pcd/bmw/5-s...40i-vii-g30g31 You will note that every variant of the G30 has a 66.6 mm bore size. |

my 1st set of wheels that I purchased was from "Variant Alloy Wheels" which required hub centric rings to make it work. My 2nd set of wheels that I purchased a few months ago was from "Vossen Wheels" (a hub centric wheels with hub 66.5mm (or 66.56mm to be exact) which I attached the pic showing the label from the box. Hope this helps. |

About to pull the trigger on a new set of wheels but would like some clarification that it will all fit before i do so.
current set up: F: 8*19et 30 - 245/40/19 R: 9*19et 44 - 275/35/19 moving onto F: 9*20et 32 - 255/35/20 R: 10*20et 45 - 295/30/20 Looking at the multiple threads on this matter, i believe these will drop straight on without any issues: standard height, adaptive suspension, 540xi if any of that makes any sort of difference would the standard 245/40 & 275/35 20 fit over the increased wheel widths? |
