maybe the buyer got hit by a car is in the hospital?

and yeah i just realized a few auctions ago that a BIN has much less seller fees on the ebay side. they make you think that "sweet i can now list auctions for free?!" then they rape ur ass with a 10" dildo on the fees. then paypal gets a cut which is fucking owned by ebay.

OP did ebay atleast credit you the final value fee??

You can reject buyers that have a non-paying strike.

I think it's in the setup somewhere it says block buyers that:
-Have received a non-paying strike in the past XX days
-Have gotten a negative feedback in the past XX days
and etc.

I sell a lot on eBay and always use the Buy It Now feature. Price it a little high and accept offers from buyers, that way you can say no to those with low feedback you don't feel comfortable dealing with. You can also set auto-reject so you won't have to deal with the low-ball offers.

For fee's I use this calculator http://www.rolbe.com/ebay.htm

I have a friend who used to sell laptops on Craigslist from his house until a guy showed up with a gun and took all his laptops and cash. Now he only sells on eBay.

but it's not even visible for everybody. Is there anything I can do?
Same thing happened to me about 3 year ago. I gave the guy every chance to make it right, then filed a non-paying bidder claim with eBay. Then the douche left bad feedback for me saying it was all my fault. That was pretty much the last time I sold anything there.

You have to realize that your anger goes both ways. How many auctions have you seen with a stock picture (or sometimes even concept/prototype Google Images pics) with the description, "new fast ship ups ground thx" or a copy & paste of some generic specs? I'm sure Nigerians have the capacity to create a terrible listing while still sending you that email about some lottery you won.

kinda, but not really. If I recall you CAN'T block anyone with less than like 3-4 strikes. So if they don't pay twice? Tough shit, they can still bid on your auction.

Complete BS, not paying should be a long term suspension

I was really cool, I contacted the buyer and he asked for an extension
(holiday etc), then he said he would need at least one more week
and that he never promised he would pay that day and so on. A pile of crap.
Yeah, ebay refunded me, but after giving that ass 4 more days to pay -
he didn't obviously.
What's the most annoying is how much buyers are preferred now
over the sellers. And the fees are simply sick.

How can anyone even see that someone has a non-paying strike?

Absolutely agree. Or at least a big warning visible to everyone.

IDK, works for me... I've sold more on E-Bay, but when it comes to larger items, i've sold them quickly and for good money with Craigslist.

I'd say it's probably hit or miss across the board. The part that aggravates me is that there are simple measures to drastically reduce these time wasters.

Last night was a perfect example of a craigslist time waster. Guy lowballed me and the price on KBB (but enough where I'd still make a profit on the car), figured I'd give him a shot. Cash in hand all that crap.

I get there, the guy didn't have cash, said it'd be a few days to get the money. Said I had an 'un understandable english accent' (I'm american for the past I don't know, many many many many generations, and I have zero accent). He barely could speak or understand english, but kept on rattling on how the 'russians played with the miles' on my car, despite the fact it was still with 2 of the original tires, and the original rear brakes.
But I drove to the guy, paid for parking, all for him to completely waste my time.
A simple feedback system on craigslist would fix this.

Which suburbs, South Hill or Bethal Park, they really have it.... I grew up in the North Hills and live in CA for years and talked to someone phone in the CA DMV when I lived out there and she said to me "You're from Pittsburgh aren't you" I was how did you know that she said, she grew up there and could hear the accent and that was after 10 yrs of not living in Pittsburgh.

Know area well, use to hunt up that way in my younger years, you were definitely outside the Pittsburgheze influence zone, I was not so lucky picked up a few bad habits. At lease I learn not to say pop any more, only soda these days

hahah wow, small world not many people know it, especially ones that don't live here anymore.

I alternate between pop and soda depending on who I'm with. Pop luckily isn't just pittsburgh.

Although I do still fucking say sweeper. And that annoys me
