You must not be a detective either, he needed financial aid so I'm assuming he had to have a job while in school. Not every one is gods gift to this world and given everything.

Amherst? If so you guys had amazing house parties. Northampton (was that the town?) was kinda small and dreary though.
me: Tufts university B.A. - Econ, took 4 yrs Parties sucked except for NQR (everyone gets hammered and runs laps around the quad naked in December) until that got cancelled. Great academics, Plenty of bars/clubs/parties in Boston (BU and BC had the best women, MIT had the best frat parties) Tuition - way too high Parking - didn't have a car in college |

I was trying to wind up with the least amount of debt as possible so I did that was a little bit of motivation. In NYS you've taken care of all your requirements to graduate by senior year save for an english credit and a gym credit. Turns out college credits can account for that English and gym credit. Got my self into an honors program at the local CC and knocked out my first year of college at the same time as my senior year. Stuck around for an extra year and knocked out every basically every gen.ed including english, chem, orgo, psych, calc, etc. before everybody I knew finished their first year. So it was smooth sailing after that when I transfered for 2yrs. I was out a year early and worked before heading to grad school. Wound up saving a bunch of $$ in the long run.

If money wasnt an issue and I didn't want to make any I'd love to have stuck around there longer. I do refuse to visit though, at least while schools in session. Theres nothing more pathetic than all the graduates there for the homecoming game trying to fuck underage girls at the bars.
Boy that place was fun though. I dont know how anybody gets anything done living there. |

You must be misinformed, work study pays peanuts and has a maximum you can earn. Which isnt nearly enough if you're having to pay for everything.

College: UCLA
Degree: BA Business Economics Completion: 4 years Tuition: Don't remember. Academic experience: Too many people. Hard to enroll classes. Easy to get lost in the shuffle, seek help. Too many people cheating. Some great professors but again because of size, it was hard to develop relationship with professors. Hard to seek help from the professors. Some professors lectured but left most of the actual teaching to the TA's. This was my biggest problem with Econ department and I heard this was the case in other department as well. Lot of the times TA's were just terrible... couldn't learn shit from them... some barely spoke english. Every start of the quarter, I had to go to TA session I wasn't signed up for because I couldn't learn anything from them. It was a battle finding a TA that could actually teach. By end of 2nd year, I made it a habit to attend all the TA sessions to find the right TA. Even then, it was extremely difficult because session were held in tiny room that could only hold 10-15 people at max. Word got around who were good and everyone tried to go to that TA and room just couldn't accommodate that many people. Everyday it became a battle to find a seat in good TA sessions. I had to have few options in case I couldn't find a seat and had to attend other TA session. This made my schedule a mess and it became very stressful. Social Experience: Fun... Girls girls girls... girls girls... more girls. Misc: Lot of resources available to students. Great campus. Great facilities. Many IM sports and other activities available. Great location. Expensive rent... shitty traffic. Shitty football team. Overall: 6/10 |
