Can you clarify? When I go to the iOS App Store I see a bmw connected classic that hasn’t been updated for two years. ‘Classic’ implies there’s a new version but it did not come up via search or even after looking at bmw developed apps. What am I missing? |

Looks like it hasn't made it to the Canadian App Store yet. If you've downloaded a copy from the US iTunes Store today's updated was for adding Canada support.

You need to register your car again and sign up for a new account on the connected site. I found a link on google. Worked like a charm. Setup in 5 minutes

BMW Connected app is now available in Canadian App store but not in Android Play store. I downloaded, logged in successfully and my 2018 x3 registered with BMW Connected service, Canada showed up in this App. This app has some additional functions/features which are not in My BMW remote app.
I tested this new app and everything works except Remote 3d view which I cannot even see in the app as I don't have a checkbox to enable Remote 3d view in Data privacy settings of idrive under My Vehicle menu of idrive. Is this Remote 3d view working for anyone in Canada using new BMW Connected app? Thanks |

You can force an update to your Connected Drive service by using the Update BMW Assist option in the iDrive menu. The Remote 3D view will appear under Data Privacy.

I haven't seen that option yet. Is that under Vehicle Settings > iDrive (doing this from memory)? One trick I found was that I needed to logout of the app, and then login again. Everything then worked, and my vehicle was automatically added. Flashing lights worked for me. One other question that may be related to this update. I've found that prior to making these changes, I was alerted that the map update was available. My iDrive prompted me to say, "I've got new data, wanna reboot?" - I reboot and it looks like I was still stuck on the 2017 map data. Will all this then enable my vehicle to accept the 2018 map data? I'm guessing so and will check tonight. |

Sorry for bumping the topic but I would like to know if anybody here was able to use 3D remote view on the Canadian version of the BMW Connected App. I've already updated BMW Assist, checked 3D Remote View on the privacy menu, logged out and in again on the mobile app and... NOTHING. It still doesn't show up. The Android app - at least for us here in Canada - is a joke. I take the chance to ask: has anybody ever seen the Android app showing windows and doors status? It seems to be a feature only on the iOS version.

BMW Connected App (Canada)
Newbie (sort of) here .. had my 2019 X3 now for a year and have all but given up on the APP and Remote Services. Multiple calls to the dealership and even had BMW Connected escalate an IT ticket. To date no answer. Basically the APP shows my vehicle and fuel and KMs driven. That's it. I cannot access any of the other functions using an iPhone. Ideas ???

I just picked up my X4 and was able to connect to the Connected App (eventually). I had to reset my password though, for some strange reason.
I have the same question as above for Canada - how do switch from imperial to metric? |

The "new" Android app in Canada indeed works fine, I've using it frequently but I still miss it not informing the doors status like the iOS app does.
