I'd take the new 335. I drove one the other day, loved it!

M3

I have drive both. I drove the 335i and the 335d at BMW Winter driving. My buddy has a 335. I have an M3. There is no comparison. 335i is great on gas and has torque right away. M3 you have to wind up - but if you know how to drive a car where peak torque starts around 3500-3900 rpm and goes to 8000 rpm you will never compare the 2. Plus the M3 is a package deal with better brakes, suspension etc.

M3 as long as condition is good. I've driven both, and I love the M3 a whole lot more. The torque band is unreal and it feels great to drive. Steering is a bit looser though, but it's very precise.
