Romaine Lettuce

Supposed to be safe to eat again. The two newly reported deaths are from people who got sick weeks ago and supposedly no more romaine from Yuma.

Anyone still avoiding it? I have to admit it does bother me the sources were never pinpointed but will probably try it out tonight at dinner.

I’m avoiding the romaine. This time of year where I’m at in Maryland the farms are nearby and their road stands have great substitutes.

Why are we importing lettuce from foreign countries? We have plenty of good lettuce in the US of A.

Sorry, I missed the news. What was the cause of danger again? Low quality chemicals or what?

I honestly didn't realize I was supposed to avoid it, I have been eating it without pause...

I understand it is no longer a threat because the growing season ended for the region that was the source, but it was widely reported.

My diet leans more toward baby arugula, watercress, baby spinach and bok choy.

I am probably at 6-8 servings a day.

I was in Yuma a few weeks ago. Ate romaine. Everything is still attached and no involuntary sudden removal of food stuffs or byproducts from my system.

Not swallowing is not good enough, I'm afraid.
Besides, not swallow what? Your own spit? You can't avoid it.
