Dsc and yellow BRAKE E46 325ci

Hey, so I recently purchased an e46 325Ci as my first car. In Norway this type of car is a scarce model. I importer mine from USA and it’s currently at 120K km. I am wondering why may cause the fault?
(Code 5D8C) can this be lateral acceleration sensor under the driver seat? I have noticed it’s a bit moist there, so maybe it got wet and stopped working?

Thx for answering

There appear to be a few YouTube videos where the module under the drivers seat or its connector have caused that error code, along with a few others. Check its connector and pins for corrosion, clean with contact cleaner, dry and reconnect, then clear codes and see if it returns.

I'd also put a fan on the wet area to dry it and figure out where the moisture is coming from. Perhaps a blocked sunroof drain, or faulty door seal.
