Drag Racing on Playstation3
might as well post it in here - I'm looking to be very specific.
we all remember 2004/2005 when we raced our S2000's and Skylines on Need For Speed Underground with the beautiful soundtrack of Lil John in the background on PS2 I remember drag racing, hitting perfect shifts and spraying nitrous for 5 HOURS A TIME with my buddy back in the day - it was a beautiful thing. we literally wasted away weeks on top of weeks drag racing on this stupid game - and when I say stupid, I mean "BEST GAME EVER".... I now have a PS3 and a PS4 there have now been numerous iterations of NFS and it's drag racing features, but my question to you is "which NFS game on PS3 has the closest drag racing setup to the NFS Underground on PS2 !?!?"... I've watched YouTube videos for NFS Shift, NFS Shift 2, NFS ProStreet, etc, and the one that seems to be the simplest form of straight up drag racing is NFS ProStreet.... NFS Shift 2 looked awesome as well, but "allegedly" you need to buy some fucking SpeedHunters Pack to even get that option on the game uuughgh not that I can't just buy the damn pack - I just don't fuck around with the internet or log into online play or do any of that bullshit on my systems. I just want to put in a game and play...I just don't fuck around with the network... which game has the easiest and best drag racing feature to where my 7 year old son and I can play for hours on end while my wife and daughter hate us because they're doing girl things !?!? **in a perfect world, I'd have a PS2 and NFS Underground in my house so that I could race all day and all night** |

Alright just checked it and honestly, it sorta difficult to setup and understand if you haven't played it. Took me a few min to figure out cuz i haven't played in a while. Also it doesnt have too many car unlocked to start with so you would have to play through the game to open more up.

Isn't the ps3 backwards compatible with ps2 games? Why couldn't you just get NFS Underground and play it on your ps3?
Actually, here's a site to see if you could do that on your ps3: http://us.playstation.com/support/compatiblestatus/ |

I'm not sure. Did you type in 'need for speed underground' in the search bar? Because if you just type in 'need for speed' it shows that it is compatible.

both on my work computer and home computer it shows the same thing: This game isn't compatible with the console you've picked. Try another one? I tried both options just to see what it would do... then I typed in Gran Turismo to see if the shit even worked and it showed me a list of about 4 or 5 GT's games that worked for the 80gb and 3 for the 20gb..... |
