"Purses" for men?!

Between going to the gym, family outings, biking, light hikes, vacation, etc I've been getting by with this bag I got off amazon:

WATERFLY Sling Backpack

Things I carry:

Waterbottle
Wet-wipes
Sunglasses and case
Pocket Knife
Beanie
Jacket

I've always been a "if it doesn't fit in your pants pocket, you don't need to bring it" in the past. Now, however, I'm finding I like being prepared, especially as a parent, by having everything I need with me for the day. Of course, I don't want to carry a purse, so I've been using the next best thing–a sling bag.

Now I want to upgrade to something more durable. I have a list of requirements but after searching for a few months now, I have yet to find the perfect sling bag.

Here's my requirements:

Material should be ballistic nylon or similar high quality wear resistant material.
Sling bag only, no backpacks.
Must be fairly large, at least 18 Liter capacity (about 18x12x5in)
At least 2 compartments

The closes I can find is the CHROME KADET SLING, but it's only 16 inches long, a bit too small for me. I really like the bag, but it's $80 and I'd rather not have any compromises for that much.

If anyone has any recommendations, please post it! If you have a bag you carry everyday, I'm not opposed to other options!

MURSE lmao

I just use a small drawstring bag to carry me shit. My hat, water bottle, Walkman, watch and other small tic-tac stuff. Comes in handy when I run errands. Basically only use it to carry stuff to and from the car.

I have a very small backpack that resides in my car. If I go somewhere with the children or decide to go for a walk, I take it with me. Most of the time, I drive everywhere... because of the distances here.

Yup absolutely, bag with all your necessities hanging from the belt rather than them being stuffed in the pockets bulging out.
Italians been doing this since time began.

I have a cheap adidas back pack from TJmaxx. I have carried it to work every day, use it for overnight trips, toss baby supplies in it when I take the kids somewhere, etc etc. Just get a cheap $30 backpack.

I think I've carried a purse through all the phases of my entire life.
1984 - 1999 Jansport backpack
Pros: Good for carrying random gear for hitting crash pads or getting stuck at work overnight
Cons: You look like a bum, cops always want to see whats inside

1999 - 2011 Northface backpack
Pros: Good for better organization of your random gear. A little more premium construction
Cons: A little "outdoorsey" for office work, cops still always want to see whats inside

2011 - 2019 Timbuk satchel
Pros: Very premium, well organized, looked at home everywhere. Like the G wagon of murses
Cons: Not as much room as the Northface, thieves seem to gravitate to it

2019 Fossil messenger bag
Pros: Premium satchel, not too expensive, a spot for all your "grownup" essentials
Cons: Not much space, small items may not be secure if the bag is inverted.

Looks like the generation differences are starting to show! lol

I definitely see many of the guys 5-10 Years younger than me rocking either the single sling small packs, fanny packs starting to make a come back and of course satchels are popular in the city.

But that's where the civilians roam...

The same age group of males that happen to share the same occupation as me, rely on the time tested, standard issue 3-5 day assault packs, or a personally purchased version of a military style assault pack with better compartmentalization options based on their needs.

I, for example, have been very happy with my Dragon Egg assault pack for it's durability over the years in rain, sand, woodland conditions, while either traveling through an airport, riding my motorcycle for about 300 miles (one way) on multiple occasions and or navigating obstacles either over, under, around... or straight through!

I try to not bring anything except for my cell phone and maybe glasses (even no wallet if i can use applepay) but sometimes you gotta bring stuff. Backpacks heat up your back. I wish i could afford a butler.

Sherpa for the win - the mountaneer's solution (makes me feel rugged just thinking about it). Butlers (and droid-like bots) are for d'bags. Bonus points if he is also carrying a big tank of something fun to huff on like NOS.
