No way, I had to go shopping to get all the gear, we are sitting in that stupid lake until a fish has been caught.

What kind of fish are in the lake ?
And what kind of bait are you using to fish ?
Because you need to know what kind of fish eats what kind of bait ?
I know a lot of fishing because back in time I was fishing a lot in the Belgian Ardennes on rivers and lakes , and departed in the middle of the night to fish..The adventures were great and I was catching lots of fish..with fly fishing ect..
Please don't post pics of fish that you bought...Because that's cheating !

And too much red wine is really bad for the concentration of fishing...

No vocabulary for any other but trout.

I've been fishing since I learned to walk, and Tara has never gone. I'll make her think seaweed is fish if nothing else works or is to be caught.

Ahhh...Yep I caught lots of trout with fly and made the flyes by myself and is actually a kind of art ,dragging with shimmer spoon and steady placed on the bottem with little small fishes but they need to be hooked alive and they still need to move , that's the hard part and was like horror to me...so you need first to catch some little fish alive , and keep them alive and it depends what kind of little fish !

But there is more in the game such as...the thickness of the nylon wire , the size of the hook and the spots and depth were you are fishing .
Otherwise it's nope...saw lots of fishers full of frustration because after days even weeks it was nothing and only because they don't did the right thing !
Fishing looks simple but it's actually not , and needs a lot of knowledge in what kind of water you are fishing .
Anyway you are fishing lots of years so experience you must have..
So we are waiting for pics from lots of trout ...(please keep us posted)
And of course I wish for both of you lots of fishing succes !
