Raspberry Pi Clusters

Does anyone have any familiarity with building these and, if so, what has been your result?

I saw an article about building a 10 Pi Cluster to attempt low-energy-requirement, crypto currency mining. As power seems to be the most prohibitive expense, the low power requirements of the Pi Cluster will greatly reduce the power requirements.

I'm new to modern computing as I came up in the WatIV FORTRAN and MS-DOS era. No cracks on my age.

Lower power also means less mining capacity.

a pi cluster will probably line less than my 3900x cpu in my gaming pc.

edit: looks like a pi4 does 100 h/s, so you'll need 130 of them to equal what a modern cpu can do.
