Usually I check to see how old the message is. That gives you an idea on if that message is still valid.

I got out of a ticket a week or two ago and now I'm like the cockiest road user ever. All my practice with the cops paid off big time.

I use it on highways and it saves time and effort especially when cops are hiding in the bushes.

Generally agree but I use it over Bluetooth and try not to look at the phone while driving. I also slow down as soon as I hear an alert so unless Waze starts showing up on my nav screen I can't check fast enough. On a road trip right now and it was around 2/10 accurate / helpful on the ride up.

It works very well for me on highways. When I'm on the highway I'm usually using my V1 and Waze. Waze picks up almost all of the cops on the highway.

Recently when I've been using it for nav the rerouting based on traffic has been really good too.

Recently came back from Euro Delivery and took a few gadgets with me. The following applies to Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, Austria, and Belgium.
Radar detector (V1) was pretty much useless as they don't seem to care terribly if you speed a little... as long as you don't buzz excessively past a leo. Plus they take a dim view of radar detectors anyway (ticket if caught using it).
Waze: useless in most parts of EU. Starting to catch on in Canada, but uptake is slow. I still use it and it has helped occasionally.
C-150 Cheetah: A MUST have if going on Euro Delivery. Pretty good here in Canada to until you get to know where the traps are. So a great complement to a radar/laser detector/jammer when on a road trip. I am not invested in the company, so my opinion is just that. It gives a great description of the type of speed cameras. In Europe this is gold, as they have average speed cameras on top of well hidden laser cameras shooting at the back of your car. In Italy I have run into 3 of these in a row within 2 km. I got mine from Alex (a distributor here in Vancouver, kmph.ca), who was kind enough to lend me his V1 for this Euro trip when he heard I was going.

Funny thing was that my first time downloading Waze was actually when I didn't have a car; I used to live near a major back road that had cops patrolling, and since a cop just darted out of a blind corner riding his motorcycle down the sidewalk and damned near ran over me without an apology, I figured I'd look if there were some apps that would let people know that bastard was hiding in the corner with a radar gun and just downloaded 5-6 apps of them on my way to the bus stop. Got 20+ thumbs up

I'd recommend tits. It works on male and female cops.
