Rear jacking point?
I understand that this is a 6 series, but the e60 and e63 share a variety of similarity’s. So I am just trying to see if anyone with an e60 can help me.
Hi I’ve recently purchased some Eichbach Lowering Springs for my E63 630i. However upon inspection I had realised that their isn’t a designated rear mid jacking point. I think I’ve heard people use the diffs but honestly I’m not confidant that their is a suitable jacking location on the dif without it getting damaged. If the diff is the only alternative, what are some things that I can do to strengthen the sturdiness of the jack and the diff? Images below is the shape and location of the dif. |

^^yes this. The block of wood is key, and also once its in the air, use the proper jack points to rest on jack stands. You don't want to rest weight on the diff for an extended period of time.
