the thing you pointed to with the two red arrows are your secondary cats. its better to delete those (better power) but make sure you put your resonator back on.
for the primary cats, they are inside the exhaust manifold. lots of work is required to get to them so labour is expensive. if you plan to remove your primary cats, make sure you install catless headers for best performance. also, you will need to get a tune for the catless headers in order to achieve maximum performance. |

also, keep in mind that the ECU will be working for the next 500KM slowly adjusting fuel and ignition timing to adjust properly to the muffler and resonator delete. it is best you delete everything one at a time for the ECU to adjust well. I highly recommend you put your resonator back on (it causes an annoying sound and you lose power from resonator delete)
then, after 500KM come back and have the shop delete your secondary cats (the things you pointed to with arrows) |

No, you can buy an aftermarket one for $100 (look at the vibrant resonator)
After you put it on, wait 500KM, then come back to the shop and delete your secondary cats. Even with the primary cats still on your car, you will be very happy with the sound. However, something like a magnaflow or borla muffler will sound better, more "pure" then a muffler delete but whether you want to do that or not is up to you. Just make sure you do all exhaust mods seperately and lots of full throttle acceleration in between parts will help. |
