What breed of dog is this?

This little guy followed my dog home 3 nights ago, with a tag with no number and address. I posted dog found posters everywhere and no1 called. So imna take him to the shelter tomorrow. Just curious what kind of dog is he? The best guess I have is a min pin.

lol I can't I got a pitbull at home. It just pisses me off to no end that some1 would get a dog and give him a tag that says the dog's name and no other information. I mean might as well be no tag. Fucking idiots...

Before you assume the worst, it's possible the dog might have one of those implanted chips that contains the owners information.

thats what I was thinking. Home again, because my dog has it, but they give you a yellow tag with an ID number and a 800 number. Anyways Imna take him to the pound to get him scaned. If no tag I might persuade my aunt to take him

That would be great, i feel like the dog followed you home for a reason, like to be rescued not to be put into a pound although I'm sure he would be picked up fast.

Take him to any local vets office and they can scan him for a chip. All of my dogs have chips but they all have lost/eaten the cheap yellow plastic tag. I'd call all local vets office's and see if they know him as well as do a CL posting.

The pound in SoCal is a bad idea. They have reduced funds at the moment and are killing abandoned animals left and right since they have no room or $$$ to house them. Worst case, send him to a no kill private shelter.

Cute dog, if I did not have 3 I'd want him...

i've never seen a tri color daschund, so i'm going with corgi/beagle mix as well.

UNI represent! Haha. Most definitely not a min pin. I have a min pin mix at home and it looks 100% different. Only tan and black and much more muscular.
