Well, it's that time again when we head for the mountains. In a little over 68 hours we'll be heading for the Eurotunnel and down into Northern Italy.

Highlights for this year's trip include;

The Furka Pass and Steam Cog Wheel Railway
The Grossglockner
Both of the St Bernard passes
The tunnel from the opening scene of the Italian Job
BMW Welt with Premium Factory Tour
"The Loop"
Stelvio Pass

I'll be posting updates, pictures and videos here, with a proper full write up as usual when i get back home.

Well, that was a brutal drive but we've arrived in Italy!!

It absolutely lashed down pretty much the whole way through France and the Petit St. Bernard pass was a complete washout! The rain was relentless, complete with hailstones and thunder and lightning! Max speed was 5mph, due to not being able to see anything in front.

Got some excellently dashcam footage i'll post in the write up.

Well, we're at the Hotel at the base of the Furka Pass.......so, the big question is, relax and dribk beer, or fire up the twin turbos and erm.....smash the Furka Pass?

Woah, another long day. Didn't plan on getting back to the hotel so late, but we stopped at the Ice Grotto on the Furka Pass, the GF lost her car key! And we stopped for "rösti"

So after checking in, we headed straight over to the Furka.....but it was completely fogged out

couldn't see a damn thing!

Then the Ice Grotto....carved into the Rhone Glacier

And then the rest of the "Loop"

Grimsel.......

Susten....by which time it was already foggy and getting dark

Rösti......

So far, total for both days....

730 miles yesterday and 271 miles today.

Tomorrow back up the Furka pass, but this time in the steam train!!
