Sorry for the bump! Got the M performance on my AH3 since a week.
After 1000km's still no sound from the left pipe (flap is opened!) and no burbles...?! I hope this isn't an AH3 issue. |

Can't be an AH3 issue, we are enough around here with after market exhausts to testify they work well,i haven't pushed for the M Performance one but the Akra works well too, and it's bolted the same way as the M Performance.

I like the MPE sound already, however no blurbles in sport or sport+ yet. But this is only after 1000km so hopefully they'll come. |

Just chatted with someone on youtube. His words:
"Burbles should be there even on a factory muffler after breakin. Let it properly warm up about 5 min and out in sport and it'll burble." Well I really can't hear any blurbles..that's just crazy. |

It's been a few years since I had the MPE and as far as I remember under WOT the exhaust should be coming out all the same (both) pipes. Now at idle and I'm only speculating since I did gut an oem muffler to see the internals, there are a lot of perforated tubes. And as it sits idle some of that exhaust might be flowing into the Helmholtz chamber and through those perforated tubes. So in turn the sound may be drowning out in the pipe furthest away from the main exhaust section which is on the right side of the F30. In cold weather i do notice a slightly lesser hot exhaust steam/smoke from the left side. Again I don't have an AH3 so there may be some major differences between the tunes. Perhaps do a WOT rev in a video and some driving around if you have a GoPro and post up. Remember this as well; 1. The F30 is insulated insanely well for road noise so it even quiets exhaust notes down. 2. You have an AH3 so there are a ton of batteries in the pan and trunk, this is causing even more insulation and it's probably even harder to hear ambient noises particularly from the rear where the exhaust is.

It has been 1400 km now.
The sound is great (from the right pipe atleast) but not one blurble yet. So I'm starting to get worried! I'll make a video later today or tomorrow. Am I really the only one with the performance exhaust on the AH3? =O |

Well I can confirm that the M-Performance exhaust does not blurble in Sport/Sport+ on the Active Hybrid 3, while it does blurble on other cars. It does sound great however.
I assume the blurbling is something software related? I have no clue about how this works or if it can be coded. I just saw on Br-Performance site they can code this so I'll ask them after they respond the first mail. I'll post a sound clip this evening. |

Could the different center muffler have something to do with the fact that the MPE does not blurble on the AH3?
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...&q=18308608515 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...996&series=F30 The AH3 has the same center miffles as the F34 GT.. Last edited by frackje; 07-07-2016 at 04:59 PM.. |

I think it's because of the different midpipe OR the car is programmed like this |
