Great collection so far, but +1 for these specifically:
+1 on the courtesy waves
+1 on people not letting you into traffic
+1 on people that take a lane that ends and expect to get back into traffic
+1 on slow drivers in the fast lane!

Now my own pet peeves:

- People that are on their cell... AND are driving a manual car, resting the phone on their shoulder while they try to awkwardly shift and weave in their lane or go slow.

- Girls that put make up on while driving. WTH do it at home or in the parking lot once you reach your destination.

- Guys that SHAVE while driving. That's just nasty. Where's that hair going? Sick

With the money made from the aluminum jack blocks I could probably by a nice 100 µm^2 plot of land. In Antarctica. The coldest part.

Driving in lane 3, know the exit is less than 1/4 mile, serve to lane 1, speed up, then WHIP back across 3 lanes and just barely make the offramp, kicking up all the debris for the rest of us to drive thru

Right turn on red IN FRONT OF ME then turn on the overhead lights so I'm sure to see you fling me the bird

Left turn pocket, facing oncoming 3-lane road, I'm second in line. Person approaching is making a right hand turn into lane 3. GO!!!!! You have 2 open lanes!!!! If there's an accident, it the right turn person's fault for not making the turn into the right most lane!!!!!!!

Left turn pocket, creep just your bumper across the limit line. GET IN THE FING INTERSECTION!!!, so MAYBE one more of us behind you can go when the light turns red.

kk, I got one. this is very common among texas drivers. It fall somewhere in term of courtesy. Ok, you are on a main road and getting ready to turn into a shoping or gas station driveway. Well, the driver in the shoping or gas station is coming out but he takes up all the driveway entrance space and basically give you no room to turn into the driveway. You have to stop in the middle of the main road so the bastard can get on the main road before you can turn onto the driveway. Then the guy is looking at you with the expression off why did you stop and not turn into the driveway (coz he takes up all the freaking spaces-moron)...

Yea I get that sometimes ^^^

What about this? People that don't want to wait for the green light, so they take a right turn into an apartment complex or gas station (some small area to the right), then U-turn to get into THAT section's right lane and take a right, and thus get back on the road and bypass the light altogether.

I hate when there's 2 miles of traffic all because people were pulled to the shoulder lane for a fender bender. It's as if people have never seen an accident in their life before. Once I get up to the point where the accident is I begin honking the horn.

Come on people...you never seen an accident or a cop giving someone else a ticket?!?! PATHETIC!!!

One other thing I forgot to add...

I hate it when small women drive huge suburbans. They can't drive for $HIT in the first place. WHAT THE F#$^ is it with America (let alone American women) and big SUVs?!?!?

What do you mean by swing left before right? What defines swing left?

For instance, I move to the left side of the lane so that I can take a right corner much faster.. There's one corner in particular I'm thinking (one lane road each way onto one lane road each way) that getting to the left side of the lane before the turn I can take that turn much much faster.. I don't use my brakes at all if I can take the turn how I want to (no one in front of me).. And since it's a nice wider turn, I can even get on the gas halfway through to accelerate nicely out of it..

Sorry, you can't buy any part of Antarctica. In fact, anything you take below 60° South latitude must come back, including ALL waste products, solid, liquid, semi-solid, or frozen.

I hate it when I am behind someone who is behind a slow driver. They change lanes and I change with them, assuming they will pass the slow driver. But nooooooooo, they end up driving at the same f'ing speed. What the hell was the point of changing lanes then????

My biggest pet peeve is the driver that tailgates the car in front and keeps tapping on the bloody brake like he's sending a Morse code message. I usually start flashing my flash-to-pass back at him after each tap. I don't know Morse code but I think his message is usually:
-·-· ·- ··- - ·· --- -· ·· -·· ·· --- - -·· ·-· ·· ···- · ·-· .*

My second ranked pet peeve is people that don't use their rear fog lights properly. If I can see your car from quarter of a mile or more away, you don't need to be using fog lights. Actually, if I can see your car more than 100 yards away you don't need the fog lights.

Then there are those a$$holes with blue lights piggy-backing on the windscreen washer nozzles, other locations on the front, or blue tinted headlights. I hate it when there's a blue light flashing (usually because the light unit is loose) behind me and I pull over thinking it's an emergency vehicle only to have some a$$hole blast by in a POS.

Can't forget the drivers that believe they are better than the rest of us so they park on the double yellow line (no parking area), or on the hash-marks at the end of a row of parking spaces or even in the middle of the bloody road because they're too damned lazy to hunt down a legal spot. Then, when they're next to you they shove open their doors against yours and don't even bother to leave a note.

How about the jerks that run through stop signs and swing wide into oncoming lanes forcing other drivers to swerve in order to avoid an accident?

* Interpretation: "CAUTION IDIOT DRIVER"

you might have the wrong picture here. let imagine you are behind someone and they are making a right turn. They slow down to 10 mph, turn the wheel left (you can see the car moving to the left) and then turn the wheel right to turn right. All this happens at 10 mph. I have no freaking idea why they do that. Anyone can make any left turn in any car at 10 mph without having to swing left first.

On the track there is no lane and just one open lane. On a track, when you approach a right turn, the ideal position before turning is to go out all the way to the left side of the lane as much as possible without going over the edge and swing the car right toward the inner apex and as you get past the apex, your momentum should take you toward the left edge of the lane on your way out of the turn. This line is the the most effiecient line and give you the maximum speed in the turn. I know you have driven on track before and I am sure you know that already. But it is fun to bring it up for discussion.

I dont use that approach on regular street because I never know who is coming from the opposite direction. I must remember that I am not the only one on the road.

Last week I was at the post office and they have 4 rows for parking. Most people parked in the first 3 rows, I parked in the 4th away from everyone else... and to my left is a bunch of empty diagonal parking spots. Well, as I'm about to leave, this guy decides to park his car HORIZONTALLY (sideways) in the middle of all these spots, taking up 4-5 spots alone. He gets out and walks off to do his business without a care in the world, as if he owns the place  It was just pathetic; too bad there's no one to enforce parking there.

Yeah, that's when you wish you had one of those tire valve removal tools.

I hate it when I am at a red light and I want to turn right. The left turn lanes have green arrows. The cars turning left onto the street I want to turn onto don't stay in the leftmost lane. They turn into the rightmost lane! I can't turn because they will run me over. Traffic law here is that you stay in the left lane when turning left (unless you have 18 wheels). Everybody in Idaho thinks they are driving an 18 wheeler.

That's hilarious Tx, I drew this picture (before you made your new post) to explain it better:

Yeah, at 10 mph swinging left is pointless. I take that turn pretty much at or near the speed limit..

Take a pair of pliers and pull hard. That's how we stabilize cars for extrication. We put blocks underneath, and pull the four valve stems. Any pair of pliers will do...
