Movers -- WTF?

So, I called a mover off of CL a few months ago to help me move some staging furniture from one house to another. Everything went smooth...no issues. Nice, professional, prompt, etc, etc, etc.

Rates were $50/hr., 2 hr. min, +8% fuel + travel time.

Well, they arrived at 9am and were done by 11am. I paid $108.


Flash forward to today...

I am busy so the wife meets them. They basically work for 3 hours. When it comes time to pay, they charge about 4 hours + 8%. My wife is like wtf? They say its travel time from where they were coming from (about 35 miles away today). WTF? THEN they demand cash only and say I was well aware of it. Even though I paid cash the last time, it was because I had it. I had no idea it was cash only.

So, being as I took out some ATM cash this am, the wife couldn't! LOL She is running late for an appt and is fricken livid.

She has to go to another bank, get a VISA cash advance, and pay them. THEN they charged her an extra $20 for the time they had to wait for the cash! She is fricken pissed! I could barely understand her when she called! lol She told them that she better "remind" her client (who they are going to move tomorrow) that its cash only. One of the guys says "he can shove it up his ass". WTF????? LOL What a fricken MORON.

So now I am fricken pissed. I just called the guy and was like wtf man? He made it sound like there were no issues, etc, etc. Yeah, right. lol He tells me that time starts when they leave the last location, etc, etc, etc. a bunch of BS that wasn't true the last time. I guess they don't want to keep clients or get referrals.

At any rate, I am advising my client to NOT use them tomorrow and won't be doing so myself in the future. I can't believe these dumb f$cks.

Strange how people are cool one day, and total a-holes the next. On top of that, we move staging furniture all the time. I planned on using these guys pretty often and told them that the first time. Guess I will be looking elsewhere.

I guess you get what you pay for.....lol

I can't wait to get home and listen to my wife complain....maybe I will run some errands first.

She just called and said she wanted to hire "real movers" next time. haha.
