Just saw our update on the build sheet confirming built 10/26. So now waiting game till it gets to the dealer. And if they call us when in. We had to inform the dealership that my mother in laws escape showed it had been delivered for a month without them ever contacting us and they were scrabbling to find it. Still keeping fingers crossed for us.

Congrats! As a day-1 reservation holder... I jumped ship when Topgate and Bronco Mountain started. I may be back someday, but for now, it's good to see happy stories!

-hopefully we can get a 1,000 miles review... maybe in it's own thread.... geared toward bimmer-folks, of course.

this is the worst time in the wait.

my f150 was unloaded from a railcar then sat waiting for delivery to the dealer 20 minutes away for 2.5 weeks. Longest 2.5 weeks of my life

Yeah it's gonna suck. My wife works less than a mile from the facility too and was actually held up by the train carrying it earlier this week.

Then my salesman said if it gets loaded in the back it may end up driving all over Georgia before he sees it.

I know this is not a thread about the Jeep, but I remember reading your posts about it. I had a chance to drive one yesterday. Never been a Jeep guy (or cars in this category) but I can say with this particular combo and engine, I get it.

Genuinely one of the funnest/most entertaining cars I've driven in years. The thing is a goofball haha.

And yes, the V8 is about 70% of the drama, it's so great. The way the car squats under acceleration is hilarious. If there was an example of fun does not have to equal fast, this is it. And that exhaust out of the factory is almost too good to be true.

That green color is sweet. There's something about the plastic hard top that just looks off and cheap to me, feels less of a cohesive design than the Wrangler hard tops. Still can't believe Raptors are selling for $50k more than a 392 Wrangler though. Nuts.

My Braptor is scheduled to go into production next week finally. Been a long haul getting to this point and really hope the car is worth it. Have a 392 wrangler and absolutely love it - so the bronco is going to have some tough competition when it gets here. Different planned usages though and the bronco will be the long range rig too (by default as a 392 w/38s doesn't get too far on a tank of gas).

The 392 in a wrangler is an absolute joy btw. Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Much like the E9x M3 of the jeep world.

The 392 Wrangler is the best daily I've ever had. Awful gas mileage for a daily, but you gotta pay to play and it's just so damn fun. If I had a Bronco Raptor coming in I'd snap sell that baby and pocket the $40-50k profit, that is just nuts. It's still a Ford, lol.

I get that, but it's competing with the Wrangler and it's just my opinion that the lines of the Wrangler look more natural while it appears the plastic top on the Bronco was an afterthought and just plopped on there.

Yeah that is definitely tempting but really been looking forward to the braptor so likely going to hang on to it. Have really enjoyed my truck versions in the past and expect the bronco to be no less enjoyable. The 392 is 100% sticking around though either way.

I see you have lovely weather too! Actually it's good for my wife, she's UV allergic and the sun zaps her pretty good when her windows aren't tinted. We've got an appointment for Friday so, darn, looks like I have to drive it a couple days when it's sunny.

Yeah I love the thread on the bronco6g board titled all jeeps are asshats, talking about blow bys. I think with the brand the higher end jeeps now are taking after charger/challenger drivers, just because you CAN drive fast doesn’t mean you SHOULD and they are the least jeeps that wave. There wasn’t this type of road asshattery by jeeps before.

There’s a reason this is on the visor.
There’s a big reason we’ve kept our TJ for almost 23 years now, but a line in Pump it Up “ all the best themes have been played out and turned into theme parks”.

These were never meant to be road warriors. They were meant to be TRAIL BLAZERS. Riding shotgun in the gladiator for the first time my bro in law had reminded me straight away of taking the atvs out.
