M5 6mt & traction control

I did a search and could not find a definitive answer on this - just different opinions and something about a software update. Can the nannies be absolutely and completely disengaged on the 6MT M5? I'm looking at a CPO M5 to replace my 6mt 335i coming off lease this year. The 2011 won't have 6mt. TIA!
