I used to work at the company directly involved with the Space Program back in USSR and had a chance to travel to Baikonur to fix some issues in 1986.
I had my fingerprints sent to the Mir station and saw a couple of takeoffs while there.
Here is the machine to transport and install the rocket to the launch pad. It was designed and built by the company I worked for.
