Hello Lucas. Are you using ISTA? Otherwise, any laptop with ample speed and space will work. We have a 2007 530xi that I've been maintaining myself for the last 14 years. I use an older Dell Laptop with Windows 7 running on a Intel Core i7 processor. The processor is actually slower than the i5 in my main laptop. So, any quality processor will work. I only use the laptop to read and clear errors though. I do not use if for coding purposes.
