My '10 535XI Sport - Guidance Needed!

I took on the ownership of a 2010 535ix Sport a few months back, and the first 2-3 months of ownership were great! No issues at all. But then, that soon changed. The car had about 73k on the odometer and was quite solid, etc. However, just after a few months, things started happening as follows:

1) Right Rear shock went out (fluid leaking),...easy fix, I purchased and replaced both rear shocks.

2) Battery died - Np,...Battery Replaced (...car seems as if it gained some 50+ Hp after battery replacement!

3) Got into it one day,...engine pulls hard,..then stumbles a bit,...still pulling and stumbling in higher revvs. Most likely injector issues. Check Engine Light now on.

3) iDrive went on the fritz,...work sometimes,...sometimes not working! iDrive replaced (...my wallet is a lot lighter as a result). Received car back from BMW dealer,....new iDrive (...with a 2yr warranty) and Check Engine Light out.

4) Got into the engine again,....car pulls strong,...Check Engine Light came on.

5) A few days later,...and after getting some gas, I notice the Check Engine Light was out. I'm happy! But got into it again,...about 4K+ RPMs or so,..Check Engine Light back on.

So, based on the above, what would be the best PC based Diagnostics software I could invest in that would allow me to review codes,...and potentially allow me to purchase the Right Part(s) to fix my 535.

Mine you, I consider it to be a good car,..as it's well optioned and I use it as a daily,...but will be putting it on the road soon and don't want to get stranded while traveling out-of-town.

....appreciate your assistance!

This board must be about selling parts and not info,...as my post got 20 looks and not one reply! Is this really a "BMW" board! Or are members here just all about "no-cats" and "downpipes"? Just checking....

Yeah this board is pretty commercial. Try the E60 forum on Bimmerfest. Anyway, just buy a code fault reader and see what code is being thrown. That's where to start. BMW probably reset the code while they had the car, but the fact that it came back means it's a real problem. However, reading a code is not necessarily going to tell you what the problem is. It can, but not always. For example, if you get a code for a faulty oxygen sensor, it could be the sensor, or something else causing an emissions problem that the sensor is warning about.
