Confused 2014

I was just at the dealership, I'm ready to pull the trigger on a 2014 2.0L automatic X1 --I'm confused about the sifter, it has the older shifter and not the nice new shiny one --its an Xline edition, does that matter--can someone explain this for me?

Thanks

Older shifter? Explain, all the 8sp X1s have the same shifter. Maybe you looked at a 35i?
