BMW 525i 2005 Automatic gives 16MPG
Hi guys, I recently purchased a BMW 525i 2005 Auto Petrol and after a few trips to the pump I have noticed that I'm getting around 16MPG . Now I understand that obviously its a 2.5 and an auto so sure it will use abit of fuel but I just wanted to know that this wasnt a cause for concern as since I purchased it the service overdue message has been on for around 4 weeks now .
Commute is about 5.6 miles each way. |

That actually sounds kinda bad for a 2.5. I just sold my 07 335 (3.0 L V6 twin turbo) and got 16 MPG. Now I have a 10 535xi (4WD 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo) and get about 19 MPG. I'd recommend a walnut blast and I'm not sure about anything else...

I currently hav a 04 525i an my mpg seems to fluctuate a lot, I know that could have a lot to do with how I'm driving during that trip but the differences are drastic even when I try driving the same, sometimes when I'm driving I will get good mpg 25+ an others I will get in the lower teens. again I know this is normal based off a lot of things but I'm sometimes getting this when I fill with the same gas as do the exact same driving, I also get this lil studder that causes a vibration under the front center of the car that I can kinda feel in my gas pedal, this only happens when accelerating from a stop or lower speeds from time to time but quickly pushes its way through the problem. I don't know much about cars yet but to me it feels almost like the injectors aren't praying correctly or its almost misfiring. now reading this I think maybe I should make my own post lol sorry for the length thanks in advance for any advance anyone may have.
