tactical lights and batteries

im kinda addicted to tactical lights. was wondering if anyone else here enjoys them. also was considering on trying some rechargable cr123a batteries. the surefire batts are so expensive. any alternatives would be appreciated.

Have you tried the pelican light? It dosent seem to eat batteries as fast.

I use a Dereelight DBS V3 for work with a rechargeable 18650 battery. It has an OP reflector (I need the flood more than the throw) and is a little more compact than the Pelican (which is a very good light). It's brighter too with WAY more flood (due to the OP).

You can buy 123 batteries in bulk for under a dollar a piece. I have the pelican and there are issues with durability, ut it's a great light when it works. My favorite is the blackhawk night ops....
