Smart display/digital display

Anyone using anything?
I didn't really know these existed but a friend has a vestaboard.com then I saw the price and went down the rabbit hole to oatfoundry.com and stopped with mangodisplay.com

My purpose would be a 46" TV in a work conference room. Posting motivational items, or photos for a screen saver type of album, etc.
In the past I just loaded things on a thumb drive and scrolled through with the TV menu.

Doesn't almost every smart TV these days come with a slide show app for showing a gallery from a USB thumb drive?

We have a smart signage setup at work, with dozens of flatscreen TV monitors hanging in high-traffic areas that display a message/slide show from a central PC.....

I imagine, I just thought it was kind of neat that its like the old airport arrival/departure boards.
