kick to the person on the floor then right hook to the girl that touches his arm. cant see what happened before so this video doesn't really prove anything. the kick on the floor isn't exactly procedure but the film doesn't show what happened before that. the girl that got punched shouldn't have grabbed or touched the police officer in the first place imo.

on another note, i was trying to grab a hold of my friend getting out of control on halloween, cops arrived to the scene and one threw me down on my face and twisted my arm behind my back and my friend was arrested. security vouched for me trying to secure my friend and the cops let me go and the one officer apologized to me. he was doing his job and i let it go. just sayin.

I see a lot of resisting arrest, like the other poster said. That doesn't bode well at all for your case.

And you don't have footage of what happened before this video. All you mention is that the police are beating you up - you could have done anything.

That girl appears to have taken the cop by suprise by grabbing him. I don't know that I would have reacted much differently given the circumstances.

Rule #1. Never under any circumstance is it ok to touch a cop. What led up to this? Cops in the middle of public don't just start hitting people for no reason.

to the OP, sorry you get banged up.

But, after a year of living in nyc i know for damn sure that you stay the fuck away from those assholes at all costs. Never fuck with them or call them to a scene - they dont do any productive and just end up using their post 9/11 complexes.

Agreed with everything said. I just Saw a bunch of people resisting arrest, and cops using force to restrain them. As for the girl getting punched, granted wrong, she grabbed the cops arm, he will claim self defense. I guess she was trying to stop her friend from being kicked, but still do not grab an officer.
