How to post pics on forum in correct size.

Pardon my lack of know how here...
I should know how to post a picture correctly in a thread post....I was a E30 forum member for 7 years.
Oh well this forum layout is somewhat different.
I've tried to attach photos to a thread post and it showed up in XXL size full screen size.

Other than using a link to post a link to my photo hosting site...I can't seem to add a nornal sized picture into a post.

Any help.input will be greatly appreciated

You have to resize it before posting it online. Or you can do it from within Photobucket and Flickr, but sometimes resizing pics from those kinds of websites will degrade picture quality.

to resize your pics use Paint as it comes free in all Microsoft Windows.
Open your picture in Paint
then go to Image
In the drop down menu choose Stretch and Skew
then type 50% horizontal and 50% Vertical
then hit OK and save it

Be careful when using MS Paint, as it has the tendency to degrade picture quality, especially with reds, oranges, pinks, and yellows.

However, since Widows 7 came around, MS Paint has gotten better, but I still dont trust it. I'll stick with Photoshop.

i agree and use CS4/LR 2.6 for my post editing. i just thought it would be simple/easier for the OP to use Paint.

I would avoid using MS Paint. That will just ruin the pictures greatly. Try using true photo programs like Adobe Photoshop, Elements, or CS4.

Edit: To host pictures, flickr has a little bit better quality than photobucket.

Some of us take pride in our image quality. Image quality isnt the same as image size. Just because the picture is in a "high resolution" (aka, BIG) doesnt mean its of high quality.


And for the web, when you are displaying your photography work (those of us who are photographers), quality is of the upmost importance.

hmmmm....some BB software resizes for you...I know m5board.com does
