For the M2 comp... black may be the ticket..

For the 1M... black was the rarest (20%) .. with an even split among white and Valencia Orange.....
I have attended several events where multiple 1M showed up... and my car was the only one in it's color.
for prelci m2...black was the rarest in NA 466 cars BSM vs 631 MG

May change with M2 Comp as MG NLA

Yeah it's more work, but I think I'll be alright spending more time with her.
Funny, my #1 reason for trading in my 17 BSM M2 for the comp is because I am absolutely sick of the upkeep with BSM. PPF + ceramic coating helped, but I still can't stand how fast it gets dirty. It's my 4th black car so I knew what I was getting into, but maybe it's with age I just can't spend every weekend hand washing the car. BSM is by far my favorite color on the M2 and F80. It looks amazing....when clean. With some dirt it dulls the metallic too much and looks bland. I was excited for HS, but it's somewhat underwhelming. I am hoping that the metallic that isn't coming through in pictures will look great in person when clean and then turn to a nice soft grey/bluish hint when dirty. Or I will just get LBB. AH! Decisions, decisions.

I would have chosen BSM but for the upkeep. When clean it looks fantastic but who wants to clean it every day? I chose MG, it also looks great and hides dirt much better. It is now a bonus that they eliminated MG on the M2C. Maybe they felt HS was a good alternative.

It just depends on how much you "care" about the inevitable swirls and holograms that are most easily seen on a black car.

Even if you use the two bucket method and are very careful, it's almost impossible to be perfect every time you touch the car...and imperfections that are more easily seen are the result.

So if you care, like I do, it's hard to trade the 10% of the time that the paint looks perfect for the 90% that it's dirty or needs paint correction.

Just my $.02....

Since HKS doesn't seem to be a proper silver then i personally wish it had no metallic in it and just be super glossy. I'd go for the gumball color appeal with a ceramic coat.

I think I love HKS - can’t wait to see real world pictures of it.
HS.. Hockenheim Silver .... not HKS..

It's a tough call with HS. I want to love it, and I generally like the Nardo or Grigio Grey's on other cars, just not sure adding metallic goes with that color. It's neither silver nor gray.......it almost looks a like champagne white on a 90's Lexus

I agree that these pictures don't do the color, or the car, justice. I also agree that other colors seem to show off the fender flares way better, which is why I don't dig white on the M2.

I don't know why so many are gaga over Mineral Gray. As much as I love silver grey colors on cars (both my current cars are that color) I find MG to be way too dark. BMW missed the mark on both MG and HS and should have gone with Lachssilber from e30 M3 fame, or Silver Gray from the e46 M3.

The way I see it right now:

Black, too much maintenance
White, same issues as HS, doesn't enhance the curves
Blue, is too common and not the best BMW blue by a long shot
HS, maybe, need to see more pictures of it in real world, not studio
Sunset Orange, becoming a real contender with all others not hitting the mark

I really wish there were some other options. Then again, the color is not what makes this car.

MG looks great on M2 and strangely looks shit on the M4.

Every MG M2 I have seen looks awesome! Really shows the flared fenders off!

Sunset Orange looks terrible.....

that's what I am counting on. Carbon roof replacement for me... hoping to find a power hood as well. Spoiler is a no brainer. I always liked the "winglet" things but... probably pass on those.
