Owner's Manual Recall
When I went in to get my 1,200 completed over a week ago, my SA told me that the Owner's manuals had been recalled and theyneeded my old one so they could provide me with a replacement for it.
I told him that I've never heard of a manual being recalled. He didn't know exactly what was being changed versus the original version. I've never even opened my manual because I've always used the digital version in the BMW Driver's Guide app. Has anyone else had theirs replaced, and if so, do you know what was changed?

I got a call from the dealership last month that said that the part I ordered was in. When I told them I hadn't ordered any parts they told me that it was a manual. When I went to pick it up, they handed me a new manual that appeared to be identical to the one that came with the car. I haven't had time to do a comparison check.

When I bought my car in April, I noticed there was no manual. When I asked, the SA said there had been a recall and to come by anytime to pick up the updated version.

Willing to bet it has something to do with the legal disclaimers in the Manual were not accurate/updated. That's the only practical thing I think would be worth the cost.

They told me the same thing. But also that they needed the car to update the manual within the car. 🙄. I think that they just want to upgrade my software.
I told them I would bring it in later, but not really my intention |
