Wow, I like this a lot.

Converted to another brand some years ago (still have an i3 though) because BMW didn't have the BEV type I was looking for, but if this ends up looking like that I might go back again

The only issue I have is how the grills meet the hood. It looks wrong and not integrated well. Is this just a render and will be fixed in actual production maybe?

I hope it’s just the angle or lens being used creating an illusion but are the grills not symmetrical now?

The left looks to be shaped differently than the right? If so that’s the final straw for me…I’d never be able to look at the thing front on.

It's essentially a concept car but an indication of where the production car will be going in terms of design. You can look at the i4 concept compared to the i4 that was actually released.

The interior is a similar story, concept cars are usually super futuristic but impractical in terms of material/colors.

I agree that the concept is to warm us up to the polarizing design, whereas the actual production model is tamer. The XM concept looked great, especially the driver/passenger interior, but the production XM interior appeared to use recycled bin parts from the X5/X6/ X7.

That i4 concept was a closer to production "regular" concept, not a "Vision" concept like this Neue Klasse X and the sedan shown last year. Meaning that the production will most likely look drastically different as we have seen from previous Vision Concepts such as the iNext (iX) and i Vision Dynamics (i4).

looks posh, but we all know this fancy vision ain't gonna look squat like the real McCoy, so why waste our bleedin time? Their "vision" dreams are always bangin on about how amazin and thrillin they're gonna be, but when the real deal hits the pavement, it's just the same chewed off design which shares old dull details...

The problem is: these new bmw designs look awful but driving, is the different story.
Last week my wife was out of town and I started driving her ix.
I grow up with bmw 2002 as a kid and then having e46, e92, x3,x5, two x7 and m3, m5 m6gc and now a manual m2. I’m kinda ashamed to say that ix is one of the best, if not the best bmw I’ve driven on the road.
It’s fast, great and no drama acceleration, great handling, great self driving features and definitely not driving like a big fat suv.
