The angel eyes are lit up by a power module with some kind of light inside. BMW dosnt sell anything separate, so one would have to buy the module and have to see what can be changed

There are plenty of retrofits for the e46 halos, check out e46fanantics. The retros are LED and bright as hell. As for the e90, I'm not sure if anything is out yet, but maybe in due time.

Have you found an HID conversion kit for the fog lamps?

Watch out what you do to the electric system of the E90

The headlights are connected to the main power control module, and i know they had problems with it on pre-production cars with active headlights because it was drawing a non constant voltage, so any non OEM equipment can be trouble

There are many control modules all connected together over 3 main busses on the car and all can talk to each other and relay messages, so you can damage a lot of equipment easily if you dont know what you are doing

There is even a service bulletin out about the car showing errors because techs working on it have connected the positive terminal to the battery with a bolt other than what the car was built with

The battery monitoring module then starts giving temerature and voltage errors

So these cars are sensitive
