He actually got paid to ride his car!
That's what happens with low mileage old cars. Prices have actually been dropping on higher mileage cars. There's an 07 near me for $19k with 70k miles, a couple years ago (when I sold my S2K) it would have been worth $25k+ easily.

It's on Jalopnik!!!

http://jalopnik.com/get-furious-over...d-s-1765503884

it even has a picture of a Hongburglar stealing the hardtop off of it!!!

It seems the company's website shows they do a lot of BMW's and Mercedes Benz's... I wonder how many of our forum members from the area have gotten stuff done there... well after this hopefully not anymore

As a former s2000 owner this really chaps my ass. Hope the buyer gets what he pays for.

On a separate note, I had my s2k for 6 years, added nearly 100K miles. Sold it for 6K less than I had originally paid for. Really wish I kept the car though. Still the best car I ever owned.

Same here. After long list of cars, S2K still tops my list for bang for the buck.
Can't forget the night when I broke in and entered first VTEC with open top at night with fresh HKS exhaust. I must say I averaged 5k rpm in that car all day

Wow. This whole thing has been great entertainment. I feel bad for the buyer as he did all of the right things...Hong is gonna get his, no doubt.

Well, if you drove below 5K, you were doing it wrong! I agree, if I ever come into more space with more expendable money, love to pick another one up as a weekend car. I really wish Honda would make another.

Man, people can be such fuckbags sometimes.

It's nice to see it's coming to a sweet, karma-filled end for the seller.

The only thing kinda odd about this is... What where the terms agreed on via email or text? Why no screen shots of the emails or texts?

Soooo many S2000 are track rats. Know someone who has gone through 5 of them. They are perfect for their class. Not really sprising they are going up in value. Personally always preferred the type R to the s2000, both great cars.

That's ok, similar mileage and year 335 is probably only $20K. They're only more fun to drive too.
