At your age I would have kissed my parent's feet for ANY BMW! Here is a tip, be grateful you have parents who treat you so well. The 325 is a very nice car.

The only thing remotely close to a valid reason is that the 330 comes with more standard features thus is a better value than the 325, good luck with that. Honestly there are no valid reasons why you should get a 330 over a 325. Since your parents are buying the car for you, you really have no say in the decision. Sorry if that sounds mean, but it's the truth. You should be happy enough that they are buying you a BMW. My friend's lil brother is trying to convince his parents to buy a manual transmission Scion tC for him instead of an automatic, and he's even paying for the car himself every month he's just not old enough to take out the loan himself. That's a much different case since he's paying for everything himself, but even that might not go through. |

Next thing you know those cruel parents of yours will be buying you domestic wine, or a suit off the rack! You should file an abuse complaint. Poor thing.

Hey, trust me. be happy with the 325. 40 horsepower isn't anything. In a few months when there are more products out you can mod it and make it faster then the 330. hopefully a GruppeM intake or Dinan. A new exhaust and chip it. With the chip alone you will probably get an extra 40 horsepower.

I suggest that you gratefully accept the 325i and ask your parents to buy a membership in the BMW CCA ($45) and send you to a good driving school to help prepare you to take advantage of the BMW's handling and accident avoidance capabilities. Oh. Congratulations!

start with a 325...your next car could be faster but most of my friends end up crashing their cars...waste of manhours building the car IMO. Take it slow. Driving is not a game...next thing you know, u might cripple yourself for life. If you are just in your first year of driving, start with a 325, it's more than enough.

Look, if your parents are able to provide you with a nice car, then congrats to you and them. It does not hurt to ask them for the vehicle that you would like. If they are able to do it, great. But if they say 325 due to whatever reason...then there is really no justification to get upset. Its an awesome car to get. Enjoy and be thankful.

The 330 just has more standard features. It depends on what you want out of your car. The 40 horse power isnt a huge difference, so your parents are right.. But i agree with all the posters, Man be thankful they're buying it for you. You should get the 325, esp if its your 1st bmw (like how i did).. you can learn, appreciate the performance of a bmw, and later on when you're older and you can possibly pay 1/2 of your payment..etc. you can upgrade to the 335 (like how im planning haha)..

GRATZ!
Having someone paying for your ride is already a blessing! you will appreicate that even more once you have to pay one on your own. but for the time being, welcome to the suffering of waiting-for-the-car-to-arrive period, ha hah
