i think it's awesome but also an extremely dangerous weapon :/

you can blind someone in milliseconds, and voila, they're like that for the rest of their lives. this should not be released to public. even though most people couldn't walk around blinding people, theres some crazy motherfuckers out there.

i heard people (probably stupid kids) shone old bright lasers at pilots while they were landing big commercial jetliners. that was the old bright. this thing is the new bright... (you can see in the comparison what an old bright laser looks like compared to this)

So they just freely sell non-eye safe lasers like that? Worst part is that you can get hit with a relection and not notice the effects until days later.

I'd be impressed if there was a mini ABL, though.

i would use it as a self defense thing though... its even faster than a gun (it's light! :P), and once they can't see, well it's hard for them to shoot anything :P

They're meant to be used in safe (i.e. non-reflective, vacant) environments by people wearing laser safety goggles. An arc welder can cause eye damage as well, and you can purchase one of those without regulation.
