One of my neighbors has a Shiba Inu and it's mean as hell to other dogs. They also definitely do not fit into the "doesn't shed alot" category. In the spring the shibas fur is all over the place in our complex. They're also not very easy to train but they are cute as hell (especially when puppies).

You may not be meaning too, but don't blame the breed. A dog is a dog first, and when properly socialized, they can get along with a hamster.

I am sure it does. My ex's pug shed like crazy until we got a brush that gets the undercoat out. and brushing her once a week helped a ton reduce the hair all over the place.

That looks kickass. Also looks like it would eat the rest of our dogs for dinner.

Trust me, I know what you mean. People look at me like I'm Michael Vick sometimes but they have no idea that my dog would lick an intruder to death before she'd bite them. It's just a stigma of owning a pit-type dog. I only replied because the guy was looking for a dog that doesn't shed much and I would say the Shiba sheds more than the average dog. Not the dogs fault but not a good fit for his wants.

I grew up with a Weimaraner. Gorgeous dog but dumb as toast. I've had terriers ever since and they seem like geniuses in comparison.
