ipod halp wat do?

I updated my itunes to update my ipod touch to 4.0.... so I did it and halfway through I got an error. So I tried to restore it and I keep getting unknown error occured. I can't put it in DFU anymore which wasn't working anyways and now it wont turn on but when I plug it in it recognizes its in recovery mode... but i cant restore it. SOOOOO WTF do I do with this paperweight. I'm going camping tomorrow and need this shit unless I want to fuck around with a banjo all night.

considering taking it to apple but they're pretty busy these days and I doubt theyll do anything for me anyways

I heard creating a new acct with admin privileges and pressing the button that says restore should kick it out of sleep.
