what ever happened to toyota?
they used to have cool cars like, supra, rwd cilica, levin, and the rwd corolla(86). all these cars are rwd, and they made very good drifters what happened to them? why cant they make there cars like they used to? before they were way better then honda, but now i dont know. i know theres a lot of toyota haters here, but there rwd cars were way better then there crap cars they have now!! i think they should bring back rwd to there cars!! that would put them a head of honda if they did, thats what i think. |

They still have RWD cars in lexus division.. And Honda only has S2000 and NSX as their only RWD vehicles... I think they are already way ahead of Honda.
Oh, did I mention, Honda has no 8 cylinder vehicles??? |

No toyota Hater here. I LOVE TOYOTA. I have 4 Supra before I got my E90. If Toyota came out with another Supra like the rumors said. I would of gotten another Supra over the E90. I miss my Supra!

I have disdain for all toyota vehicles, they including lexus are the most boring to drive appliances on wheels that you can find.
dependable as all hell, but boring to look at and even more boring to drive and you can't get manuals in lots of their cars |

I won't necessarily say Lexus is boring, but its a different feeling. The lexus GS I test drove recently is super quiet in the cabin. Acceleration is not bad either. My next car after the E90 would most likely be either the 5 series, GS or Infiniti M series. I might have to take a closer look at the new Passat when it comes out this Sept too.

HEY......my wife has a GX470...and it drives like a smooth car. Toyota/Lexus might looked dull/boring, but they are one of the best built cars.
I took a chance on an E90 over an IS350.....so far, I have no regrets. But only time will tell....if the REALIABILITY is there like Toyota/Lexus. My first car was a 1985 Toyota Supra....and I sold it 4 years ago with 315,634 miles on it....same engine!

Before moving to Hong Kong, I lived in Japan for 18 years. I can't say I enjoy Japanese cars really. There is no soul to them...German cars on the other hand..like the E90 have something about them, that is so unlike anything in a Japanese car.
Furthermore, for many years, Japan never used the Lexus name but because Americans (like myself) enjoy a luxury segment automobile they created the tag Lexus. Can you imagine in the States, someone buying a Toyota Soarer which is the same as the Lexus SC430?

Honestly....in terms of realiability and quality....I think Toyota/Lexus are the best built cars in the world.
But in terms of appearance/performance(maybe the IS350).....Toyota/Lexus has nothing that can be compared to the E90.........

I had 3 Toyota's before moving on to my E90. And honestly , the only car that can compete with the E90 is the new Lexus IS, in my opinion. Toyota is still building grest cars, maybe not as many top flite models as during the 90's , but still some great cars. Can't wait for the new Supra ( with classic "2000GT" styling ) , and of course , the new Lexus V10 supercar.

Well, isn't the IS350 only supposed to be Automatic transmission (at least at first)? That would be one thing that would really turn me off about it.
