Headlamp switch... Got some questions

Hey all,

New to the forum here, and pretty new to BMWs as well. Got a used 550i a month or so ago, and love it. Had a question about the headlamp "settings" though.

I have the xenon headlamps, I'm guessing they're not the autoleveling ones though. I was hoping someone could take a a few pictures showing which lights on the headlamp(s) are supposed to be on with each position on the switch on the inside of the car. I'm confused as to what the purpose of the two inner bulbs are for on the headlamps, closest to the grill. Mine don't seem to come on at all, but they are the DRLs on my mom's 325i.

Sorry if this is a newb question, new to Bimmers! My previous car was a 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS, so this car is pretty much a new ballpark to me.
